You're here: Kids' Zone
In this section you will find twelve stories (and a song!) all about life in the Yorkshire Dales in days gone by. We hope that you enjoy reading them. If you are a teacher and would like a copy of the teachers’ notes that go with these stories, please contact the Education Officer email@example.com
If you are 17 or under and would like to have a go at being an archaeologist, whilst learning more about the history of the Yorkshire Dales, making new friends and having lots of fun, then come along to the Yorkshire DalesYoung Archaeologists’ Club.
During 2004 children from two Yorkshire Dales primary schools worked as 'Young Archaeologists' on a project to record archaeological sites near to their schools.
The children worked in teams, led by a professional archaeologist called Kevin Cale, to survey the surface features and interpret the archaeological evidence.
