Ribblesdale Guided Walks

Two walks from Langcliffe. There is a small car park in the centre of the village. Regular buses run along the B6479 from Settle. There is a waymarked interpretation trail around the Craven Lime Works site:

Upper Route via Stainforth

Distance: 4.6 miles / 7.4 km
Ascent and Descent: 430' / 131m

Start from the car park in Langcliffe and with your back to the road take the unsurfaced lane leading from it. The lane bends northwards. After about 170 metres take the stile to your left, then follow the footpath through fields towards the Craven Lime Works site.

Lower Route via Settle

Distance: 5.5 miles / 8.8 km
Ascent and Descent: 1400' / 427m

Start from the car park in Langcliffe and with your back to the road take the unsurfaced lane leading from it. The lane bends northwards and you follow this until it terminates and then continue on the footpath climbing towards Winskill. At Castleberg you have the option to climb the rock for superb views of Settle and the surrounding area.
